BC Racing DS Series Coilover - 96-00 Lancer/Mirage CJ4A

Item SKU: B-02-DS-DA

BC Racing DS Series coilovers for the 1996-2000 Mitsubishi Lancer/Mirage CJ4A. This vehicle-specific kit uses BC Racing's digressive-piston monotube dampers, aimed at giving the chassis more support during braking, cornering, and quick direction changes without making higher-speed damper movement feel abruptly stiff.

• DS damping design: The proprietary digressive piston increases damping force at low piston speeds, where body roll, pitch, and brake dive are felt, while maintaining a more linear feel as piston speed rises.
• Monotube dampers: A monotube shock layout with satin-chrome damper bodies.
• Independent ride-height adjustment: Set ride height without using spring preload to get there. That makes it easier to work toward the height you want while keeping the spring setup where it belongs.
• CJ4A-specific application: Built as a coilover kit for the 1996-2000 Lancer/Mirage CJ4A, not a universal set of dampers with generic brackets.
• Serviceable parts: DS Series coilovers are fully rebuildable, and BC Racing offers individual replacement components when the time comes.

This stuff makes sense when the CJ4A is seeing spirited street driving, autocross, or track work and you want clearer feedback from the car through roll and weight transfer. BC Racing also offers custom spring-rate, valving, and compatible Swift spring options for applicable DS configurations if the standard setup doesn't match the way the car is used.
