It was my father in laws 71 he bought 25 years ago, had a unknown 327 with a stock 4 speed and tall rear gear. A few years ago we did an hei swap and a new edelbrock avs2 carb, after that it sat for the last 5 years. Until last fall I pulled it out to get it running again and enjoy before winter. We spent 2 weeks in January changing the springs, transmission, rear gear, posi, axles, polishing some 60s slot mags, all in order to make it an ⅛ mile weapon. Can't cruise at more than 55mph, but even with a badly spinning launch at way too high rpm it'll do 10 seconds flat at 85mph. Goal this year is to run the hell out of the 327, dial myself in as a racer, and see how fast i can take this old car. We call it, the warhorse.
