I’ve always loved cars and modifying them. I had a 2012 Hyundai Genesis coupe 3.8 Track 6MT for 5 years and wanted something different. How different can you go by jumping into an EV Mach E GT.
When I got it, I said “I’ll just leave it stock since it’s an EV”…. As we all know, as a car enthusiast that doesn’t last long before car parts magically show up to the house.
I wanted to build it different and stand out among other Mach Es. So I started with wheels and tires. Rohana RFX2 on Pirelli P Zeros 265 45 20. Then I wrapped the car in a Matte Demon Black wrap which is like that weird internet dress thing all over again where to everyone it’s a different color. Sometimes it’s purple or black or brown.
Then since getting into racing has always been a dream, my friend and I wanted to start going to track events, so then came the BC Racing Coilovers, front and rear sway bars, upgraded end links, a small carbon fiber ducktail style spoiler, a carbon fiber front splitter, a completely unnecessary carbon fiber hood, and a few Talladega Nights “if you ain’t first, you’re last” and “Shake & Bake” stickers to add a couple extra horsepower.
I’ve had it 2 years and It’s my daily driver that I occasionally take to track events. It’s been a surprisingly good and reliable car and definitely the most interesting car I’ve owned.
