This is the first car of my own I’ve owned in 20 years. I grew up in the Import Scene with a series of modded Crxs & a turbo Eg that landed me all the rep, tickets, track days, & trophies from the 90’s thru until around 2005, then naturally after losing my license i exclusively rode & built ducati monsters. So this car & specific build is quite special & a fun road back into import tuning for me. Wednesday was bought on Van Nuys blvd after test driving 5 fits across los angeles county in a single day. Apparently she’s originally from kentucky, & had all the rust & neglect of driving cross country, but she had rims & a pricey aem intake so naturally she was destined to be my dance partner & family trip freeway champ. Alas since i live at the beach none of her rusted out parts would survive long. In the 8 weeks I’vd had her she’s gotten her entire exhaust replaced with stainless steel oem replacement piping from north eastern exhaust, with her final 3rd capped off by an hks silent power system. To improve her endless squeaks & creaks, Wednesday got a set of street basis z tien coilovers last week. As far as my plans for wednesday, I’d like to keep her a daily, with the goal of building her for maximum freeway efficiency. I travel up & down the coast frequently to compete in longsword duels, & need a truly economical highway beast to get me to tournaments regularly. I’ve always loved the jdm scene & built hatchbacks in my youth, alas it’s been next to impossible to find any surviving import shops in person sadly. All of the work on Wednesday has been done or installed at a Honda Dealership, in an attempt to reconcile her years of neglect after journeying from Kentucky to Los Angeles. She is now once again registered thru Honda online complete with an updated service record & paper trail. After having lived the fast & the furious, complete with the accompanying record, I’m extremely interested in only building a completely California compliant daily freeway speedster with room for my family including a 6 year old & all my fencing gear. Our family actually now has 2 matching 2015 honda fit gk5’s the other being Wednesday’s LX roommate Enid.
