Man, I picked up my 1992 Mazda 929 from my grandparents’ neighbors during COVID back in 2020 — this thing was literally the car I grew up staring at every time we visited. It sat in their driveway for years, and when they finally decided to sell it, I couldn’t let it go to anyone else. I had to bring it back.
I started modding it because I wanted that perfect mix of nostalgia and style — an old-school VIP cruiser! It’s sitting on Work Euroline DHs (19x9.5 +38 front, 19x10 +38 rear) and Silver’s NEOMAX coilovers. The rears went on easy, but the fronts needed a little “persuasion” to fit right — once they did though, man, it rode like a dream.
Even after all these years, this thing rides smooth as hell. I’m not totally sure what direction I wanna take it next, especially now that I’ve got the 2022 Accord. But this 929? It’s special. It’s the car that taught me patience, fitment finesse, and how to really style something that’s mine.
