I bought this car in 2020 after a highschool kid ran a stop sign and rammed and ran over my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, spun it three times, and totaled it in the lot of my local Autozone because he was trying to impress his friends a girl. I wanted a safe car that looked sporty and had a manual transmission, and I had always loved the Audi A3 look, but wanted more reliability. Enter the 2017 Mark 6.5 Jetta S. It had the looks, and in my mind the prettier front end and tail, and just looked... timeless, so I got it. Little did I know finding aftermarket stuff for it is nigh impossible in the states! I got it with 16x6.5 5x112 ET38 Borbet F's on the car, powder coated the factory calipers red, and enjoyed it until I paid it off this year, now it's running:
- Unitronic Cold Air kit
- Forge Dump Valve FMDV1-BLA
- Raceline coipacks
- Unitronic Stage 1 Flash
- 285 front lip
- GLI side skirts
- IKON rear duckwing
- the AWE Touring Exhaust kit
- Enkei TFR 17x8 +45 Offset in a copper finish
- Toyo Extensa HP II
I wanted this car to be fun to drive and have a sleeper look.
