The Enkei RPF1; one of the top aftermarket wheels ever engineered, sold, and accepted by the car community. Is it a popular wheel? Yes. Is it overrated? No. Enkei perfected what a wheel COULD be with the RPF1 and although it's not the flashiest or the brightest, it is undoubtedbly one of the best wheels you can buy for the dollar. We love them and we've run them on dozens of our personal cars. You won't be disappointed.
The Enkei RPF1 is engineered for ultimate performance, combining lightweight construction with superior strength, making it a top choice for serious racers and driving enthusiasts alike. The RPF1’s twin spokes are designed to achieve better stress dispersion during hard braking, cornering, and extreme race conditions, ensuring that the wheel remains rigid and responsive under pressure.
One of the standout features of the RPF1 is its center design. Enkei’s innovative pocket design around the bolt circles enhances rigidity and helps keep the wheel cooler during aggressive driving, providing an additional layer of performance reliability.
Manufactured using Enkei’s MAT (Most Advanced Technology) process, the RPF1 offers a significant reduction in weight—by 10% to 15%—compared to traditional wheels. This weight reduction translates to improved vehicle handling and acceleration, with every pound of unsprung weight saved equating to a reduction of 20 pounds in overall vehicle weight.
The Enkei RPF1 is available in a variety of sizes ranging from 14 to 18 inches, catering to a wide range of vehicles and fitment needs. Offered in finishes like Silver, Gold, Black, and SBC (Special Brilliant Coating), the RPF1 not only performs at a high level but also adds a distinctive look to any vehicle.
Every RPF1 wheel undergoes rigorous Spec-E Inspection to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and durability, making it a trusted choice for both the track and the street.
Our thoughts on the Enkei RPF1
Absolutely! Enkei Wheels are great for daily driving and track days. Enkei has four different wheel series (Racing, Tuning, Classic, and Performance) with a ton of different wheel designs to choose from in sizes ranging anywhere from 14x7 all the way up to 20x9.5 in multiple bolt pattern options to fit almost any vehicle!
Easy! Enkei Wheels are Flow Formed so they are lightweight and more durable than standard cast wheels, so they’re a great choice for both street and track usage. They come in multiple bolt pattern options and a TON of sizing options to get you the best fitment possible!
That Depends! Enkei’s Tuning Series, Racing Series, and Racing Revolution series wheels utilize a process called MAT, which is their version of flow forming. In this process, less material is used than making a cast wheel as they use rotary forges to “roll” the barrel of the wheel into a high-strength, forged-like barrel; maximizing rigidity while minimizing weight. Flow Formed wheels are typically 15-25% lighter than cast wheels, making them a great option for a lightweight track wheel! Keep in mind Enkei’s Performance Series, Classic Series, and Truck Series all utilize a low-pressure cast process.
Enkei Wheels are known for nearly exclusive original designs. While over the years some of their mid-2010 designs had copies from the US and European market, Enkei redefined their design language to capture what makes Enkei truly special; function and performance.
It depends on the size and offset, but in their Racing series wheels the RPF1 takes the win of lightest Enkei wheel! A standard 18x8.5 wheel weighs just under 19 pounds. The second lightest Enkei wheel is the PF01 weighing in at about 19.65 pounds for an 18x8.5 wheel.
